AC Shadows Introduces Surprising AoT Collaboration for Holiday Season

In a unexpected partnership that breaks conventional expectations, the game developer has revealed an virtual crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual Thanksgiving event continues from November 25 through December 22, providing free additional story content for Shadows players.

Strange Mission Disclosed

According to the official announcement, "A mysterious confrontation leads heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh mission, where hints of prohibited ceremonies and fearsome metamorphoses echo through the obscurity." The narrative introduces a "oddly garbed woman named Ada" who charges the pair with journeying into the Crystalline Cavern—a key location from Attack on Titan—to save her companion from a clandestine cult.

The questline focuses on "peculiar tests and a fearsome foe" and is available to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.

Familiar Places and Metamorphoses

The teaser showcases the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was previously where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The trailer finishes with a powerful moment showing a character, presumably the prisoner, morphing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.

Special Prizes and Extra Features

Players who accomplish the mission will receive an special katana alongside several artifacts concealed throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also contains purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
